Company: Artisan Woodworks & Design Studios Ltd. (AWDS)
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Artisan Woodworks & Design Studios Ltd. (“AWDS”, “we”) collects through our website, awds.ca, and our consultation process, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.
Our consultation forms may securely save the information you enter as you complete each field, before you submit the form. If you leave without finishing, we may keep that information and use your contact details to follow up with you about the consultation inquiry you started.
We do not use it for unrelated marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because of it.
This information is handled under the same privacy, retention and security practices as the rest of this policy.
If you would rather we not contact you about an unfinished inquiry, reply STOP to a text, tell the team member who contacts you, or contact our Privacy Officer (section 10), and we will stop.
When you arrive on our website from an advertisement or a link, we record information about that visit to understand which advertising and referral sources lead to consultation requests. This can include:
We store some of this in a first-party cookie on awds.ca for up to 90 days, and it is sent along with your consultation request.
We use personal information to:
Our website uses Google Tag Manager to load the following tools, which currently run when our pages load:
These providers use cookies and similar technologies (such as Google’s _ga and _gcl_* cookies, Meta’s _fbp and _fbc cookies and Pinterest’s _epik cookie). They process information under their own privacy policies, may combine it with other information they hold, and set their own retention periods. Some pages also include a website chat service provided by our CRM provider (see section 4). Our own first-party cookie (awds_ft_attr) stores the campaign and referral information described in section 1 for up to 90 days.
When you arrive through certain advertisements, we may show you one of two versions of a webpage to help us improve the website experience. A first-party cookie (awds_lpx), retained for up to 60 days, remembers which version you were shown. We may associate that version with your subsequent inquiry to evaluate website performance. The cookie does not store your name, email address or questionnaire answers, and the experiment identifier is not independently transmitted to advertising platforms.
When you complete a consultation request, our website may also send Meta limited information about that completed request to help us measure the effectiveness of our advertising, including when browser-based tracking is unavailable. This information may include the webpage visited, the time of the request, advertising campaign parameters, browser type and Meta advertising identifiers when available.
We do not include your name, email address, telephone number, questionnaire responses, project details or project budget in these server-side conversion events. Server-side conversion recording is disabled when your browser communicates a Global Privacy Control signal. These activities are subject to your applicable privacy choices and our privacy practices.
Information you enter in our consultation forms may be saved as you go, before you submit. If you don’t finish, your name and contact details may be passed to our customer relationship management (CRM) system so our team can follow up about that inquiry.
When you submit our consultation form, your answers and the campaign and referral information are processed by the form provider and sent to our website server and into our customer relationship management (CRM) system, GoHighLevel. There they form a contact record and a project (“opportunity”) record that our team uses to respond to you, schedule and manage your consultation. GoHighLevel also provides our booking calendar and website chat, and sends emails and text messages on our behalf.
Our other providers include our website host, our form provider, and Google, Meta and Pinterest (section 3). Providers act on our behalf or under their own terms. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We may also disclose information where required by law, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Processing outside Canada. Several of our providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information processed there is subject to the laws of those countries and may be accessible to their authorities.
To keep our marketing reporting accurate and auditable, our website may keep a separate record of the campaign and referral information received with each consultation request, together with how we categorized its source (for example “Meta Ads” or “Unknown”).
This 18-month period applies only to this record on our website. Copies of similar information in our CRM, or held by advertising and analytics providers, follow the retention described in section 7.
We will contact you by email, phone or text message about your consultation request – for example to confirm your appointment, send reminders, or help you choose a consultation time if you have not yet booked one, including when you started a consultation form but did not finish it – and communicate with clients about their projects. Where we send promotional messages, we do so as permitted by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation, and each message identifies AWDS and explains how to unsubscribe. You can ask us to stop text messages or emails at any time by replying to the message or contacting us (section 10).
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to certain uses. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer (section 10).
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Residents of Québec may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
