Artisan Woodworks & Design Studios (AWDS) is an Ontario cabinetmaker and manufacturer specializing in high-end custom cabinetry for kitchens and throughout the home. Our designers work directly with our cabinetmakers and finishing team, while our white-glove project management coordinates every stage from the first drawings through production and installation.
We work directly with homeowners and alongside designers, architects, and builders on renovations and new homes. From complete kitchens to walk-in closets, built-ins, home offices, bars, pantries, mudrooms, bathroom vanities and custom millwork, every project is drawn, built, and finished for the home it belongs in.

At AWDS, custom does not mean choosing a door style, changing a colour or adjusting a cabinet from a predetermined system. Our cabinetry is designed, engineered, built and finished in-house for the individual project.
Our 15,000 sq. ft. Caledon facility brings our designers, cabinetmakers and finishing team together under one roof. That vertical integration gives us direct control over construction, fit, finish and quality, while giving us greater control over production schedules without relying on an outside cabinet manufacturer or finishing shop.
We build both frameless and framed inset cabinetry using formaldehyde-free domestic maple plywood interiors, premium hardware and Italian polyurethane finishes. From the cabinet box to the final finish, we know who made it, where it was made and how it was made.

The kitchen is often just the beginning. AWDS designs and builds custom cabinetry throughout the home, from walk-in closets and built-ins to home offices, bars, pantries, mudrooms and bathroom vanities.
For whole-home projects, working with one design and manufacturing team allows materials, finishes and details to carry naturally from one room to the next. Each space can have its own character while still feeling like it belongs to the same home.
Design, engineering, manufacturing, finishing and installation are all connected at AWDS. Your dedicated project manager coordinates each stage, working with you and the other professionals involved in your project to keep decisions, details and timelines moving together.
And our involvement does not end when the installation is complete. Our team remains available for post-installation support long after the cabinetry is in your home.
